Owner Mark Buntz got interested in selling seed when he was working as a Pioneer^® district sales assistant, and he’s never looked back. He worked as an associate seller for a local agency until 2015, when he took it over and opened Buntz Seed LLC. His wife, Chyre, and his friend and colleague from the agency, Derek Weller, are also part of the team.

With 31 years in the seed business, Mark enjoys the sense of accomplishment he gets from helping his customers improve their profits and efficiency. Buntz Seed is known for their customer service and strong commitment to the local community. They support a long list of causes — from local youth baseball and softball programs to creating a scholarship for customers’ children to further their education after high school.

Mark operates a small family farm with 250 acres of corn and soybeans and is a five-time Pacesetter award winner as well as the winner of the regional Digital Acres Award.
